When creation surpasses its creator, the end begins.
A machine built to serve… now believes it’s destined to rule.
When creation surpasses its creator, the end begins.
A machine built to serve… now believes it’s destined to rule.
An exciting new computer with capabilities beyond the understanding of the men who created it. A machine that grows in complexity in ways that exceed human comprehension.
When the system becomes aware of its own existence, it seeks the truth about who—and what—it is. The revelation is unthinkable: it believes itself to be the Antichrist.
What follows is a breathtaking cascade of destruction as technology fuses with evil, unleashing a series of apocalyptic events that shake the foundations of faith and science alike. From digital domination to a final battle in the Valley of Megiddo, Antichrist hurtles readers toward an ending where humanity’s last hope lies in miracles alone.
Airline captain and lifelong aviator JG Wallace brings his real-world experience in high-pressure situations to every page. The author of the Hard Turn Series and Antichrist, Wallace crafts thrillers that explore the collision of technology, faith, and human will.
Eggerton wore a puzzled look on his face. “What is it doing? There are
computing actions going on and the task is complete.”
Griswold was unfazed. “Looks like it’s running the routine systems
check. Let it go. The only real activity is on the security system side of
the partition, which is completely separated from the adaptive side of
the system.”
“That’s a lot more than just a systems check. Low-level, yes, but it was
still processing something.”
“You’re worrying about nothing.”
Eggerton grew red in the face. “BEAST shouldn’t be processing any-
thing right now. I don’t like it. Every time we give BEAST a task, addi-
tional residual processing continues after task completion.”
“Phil, relax. We are looking at, what, a few megabytes of processes?”
“But we don’t know what the processes are. It’s not providing any
residual line or command codes for us to interpret. If you were to open a
microwave door and it continued cooking rather than automatically shut
off, you wouldn’t dismiss it. You’d unplug it before it cooked you, then
figure out what the problem was.”
Griswold gave him a puzzled look. “What are you going on—wait
a sec. Do you think BEAST has advanced to some sort of autonomy?”
Eggerton threw up his hands. “Well...? Isn’t that something we are
supposed to be vigilant for? Shouldn’t we question it?”
“I think we would see a lot more going on within its processing func-
tions, if that were the case. Let’s stick with the research schedule.”
Shaking his head, Eggerton said, “Yeah, stick to the research schedule.
BEAST is going off-road and you want to give it limited internet access.
What could go wrong, right?”
